very interesting - but what about all the emotional grief one goes through coming to terms with even going down this road......... My missus is beside herself that she feels this is the only option left for us...........

Hi - I would suggest you are her first line of support (although you will have your own issues) in my experience (although we are all individual) she will need all the love you can give her through empathising with her issues as and when they come up. A male will often try and rationalise through situations however sometimes our female partners just want to understand their emotions and this takes time. I find it is best to remain patient - and try not just to listen but try and hear them.
And what about you - this takes emotional energy - you have to try and keep your batteries fully charged in order to give this much required emotional support.
