About International Consumer Support for Infertility (iCSi)

The vision for the International Consumer Support for Infertility (iCSi) is to empower patients to become full partners in ART healthcare and public policy by building effective relationships with providers, governments and media world-wide.

The establishment of iCSi was initiated in 1999 by ACCESS Australia in response to requests from patient leaders internationally:

  • To meet and discuss common interests and concerns in managing support groups;
  • Gain insights in how to approach government about reimbursement and access to ART; and
  • Explore ways to work effectively in partnership with ART doctors and allied health professionals to ensure continuing quality in the delivery of ART health care services.

MISSION STATEMENT

"Our mission is to dedicate time and effort to those experiencing infertility by actively promoting 'male issues' and increasing public awareness of male infertility. To ensure timely support is available to all who require it, and to comprehensively seek to improve the quality and delivery of male support and infertility care, through all available means. We aim to empower all men to have greater control/choice over managaing/coping with their fertility."
